The space design is inspired by woodworking joinery, using the interlocking design language inherent to this technique. While beginners learning woodworking may struggle to achieve a perfect joint lock, resulting in uneven edges and gaps, the project questions whether joinery can still be effective in this scenario. By pushing the limits of interlocking volume gaps, it creates a visually porous space that highlights the woodworking process on multiple levels.
